About Me
Joi Andreoli, Author, MA, LMFT
Dr. Bob’s Camel, my second and most recent book about recovery from addiction, leaves no room to hide my enthusiasm for sober living and transformation.
It has taken me years to believe I could be, feel, think, and share in my own way. At times I still need to remind myself of this, which is part of the reason I write about the experience of recovery.
In my world, recovery is initially about abstinence, and then ultimately…about self-transcendence. So much can transform in our life if we simply keep moving forward and continue looking within, along with some guidance along the way.
We can connect back to our inner nature and spark. We can love in the most positive way. We can deal with secondary addictions, codependency, and communication challenges. We can discover who we are and live in accordance with what we value. We can find meaning in what we do. We can see how our outlook defines our life.
