Joi Andreoli, Author, MA, LMFT

Joi Andreoli is an Author, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Transactional Analysis Practitioner, and Certified WANT® Communication Educator. She has also been active in recovery for over 40 years and has conducted numerous workshops in the Los Angeles area including topics ranging from addiction/recovery, communication in relationships, dating, and sexuality.

Her mission? To share how a positive experience of love and connection is possible for those recovering from addiction; and, that living a creative, love-filled life, rooted in relationships, is doable—for anyone.

Many people lack some basic tools and information for living in recovery in a way that supports a person’s right to be who they are and live the life they want, without the drug or detrimental compulsive behaviors. Joi wants to stimulate and reinforce the kind of courageous living and loving required to live that authentic, sober existence. She believes this is what real recovery–and good therapy–is all about.

Joi earned her Master’s in Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. She spent three years studying communication strategies and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy at the WANT® Institute, becoming a Certified WANT® Educator and Transactional Analysis Practitioner. Joi is also a member of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

Joi currently resides in LA with her husband of 25 years, where she continues to use every recovery tool she has gathered over the past four decades.
